NEXT STEPS

Much like life, business does not stop just because you don’t know what move to make next.

Do you ever feel like you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing? There are so many times where I literally feel like running a business is much like this.

Eckis Marketing has really been in take-off mode for the last three months. So much so, that it has pushed me to make a couple HUGE decisions. The first being, working for myself full time. The second, taking on a bigger and heavier workload. And third, not letting my own fear hold me back.

Do you ever feel like the universe is speaking to you? Like everywhere you turn there’s something being pushed at you. I cannot begin to explain how many “signs” I have physically seen or experienced.

The first few started with small changes at my full-time job, followed by other big-time changes in my personal life and lastly, some amazing offers and opportunities. Not only was the universe speaking to me but it was annoyingly shouting at me.

After weeks of this, I finally decided there was no better time than the present to leave my comfy full-time job and pursue the realness of working for myself. But I also wanted to share some value that this whole whirlwind of an experience brought me.

Even though there have been many times where I had no clue what the hell I was going to do next, I was fortunate enough to be provided tips and insights on how to keep moving forward.

Much like life, business does not stop just because you don’t know what move to make next.

Here are some tips that I followed that really pushed me to the edge and really helped me set my sights on living my dream life.

Exercise

This may sound so pushy but like seriously, I wake up at 5am and go work out. Not because I love working out (I actually hate working out) but because it gets my creative and ambitious juices flowing. For some reason I think better, get more work done and have way more energy throughout the day.

Breathing

Laugh all you want but until you learn how to take a couple deep controlled breaths - your life will be an endless mess of anxiety and spastics-ness. Next time during your work day, close your eyes and take a deep breath in for 5 seconds, hold it for 5 more seconds, then release it for 5 seconds. I promise that those moments of nothing but breathing will honestly change your mood and efficiency in your day. Essential oils and a little time on this amazing acupuncture mat never hurt anyone either!

Podcasts

I am a HUGE lover of Podcasts. I mainly love listening to podcasts about business but recently, I have been listening to a lot of health and wellness podcasts. My two go to channels are The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast and That’s so Retrograde . Because let's be real - you need to be well physicall and emotionally to do good business.

Coaching

I remember in college the most influential professor I ever had, told me that if anyone in her class was serious about living the life they wanted and/or having the career of their dreams - they absolutely needed to get a coach.

I totally thought it was such a typical college gimmick - kinda like its necessary to buy the “not required” textbooks. But low and behold, I reached out to a coach that genuinely changed my life.

From reviewing my goals weekly to charting out my next direction in business. Coaching helps. It helps because you talk through your plans and then you have someone watching your plans. So for people like me, that have so many ideas and sometimes not enough bandwidth, it's perfect. This is because it helps me clearly define the goal and then crush it!

Life changes and sometimes quicker than what we plan for. But there is no reason to hold back or to fear the future. Take a breath and embrace whatever is about to set your world on fire. It may be your biggest blessing just dressed up as a disaster.
